It’s always been my dream to have a garden big enough so my child can get married at home. Now Dexter is only 10, so I have a few years to turn my dream into reality but every time I get sent a home wedding, my heart just flutters a bit more! Today’s wedding is no exception, Cara and Chase were lucky enough to hold their wedding in the family home that Cara was brought up in, with a garden big enough for not only a gorgeous outdoor ceremony but a big marquee reception as well. I love the laid back garden party vibe of this wedding, all the brilliant bright and colourful flowers, the bridesmaids floral dresses and of course the pet dog. I do LOVE a home wedding, big thanks to Emily Barbee for the lovely photos and to Vida Events for the planning.
The most perfect day full of love, laughter, friends and great music. Fun times were had would be an understatement – people still tell us that it was the most fun wedding they’ve ever attended.
Cara and Chase were married on 3rd June 2023 at Cara’s childhood home in Middleburg, Virginia. ‘It’s my childhood home! My parents still live there. It’s where I’ve always imagined I would get married. We had 230 ish guests and it took 10 months to plan.’

This morning I am delighted to share with you this ‘Wild and Romantic’ Bohemian styled shoot. The shoot took place on 9th May 2024 at Huntstile Organic Farm in Bridgwater, Somerset and the Quantock Hills, Somerset. It was submitted by both the photographer and the florist who wanted to create wedding inspiration for those bohemian couples looking to elope or do things with a more ecological outlook. The result is this gorgeous outdoor wedding set up, simple yet effective with the underlying bohemian theme. From flower crowns to flower filled boats, vows in the woods to wild flower cakes, this shoot is a pure joy from start to finish.
A romantic, wild, magical elopement set in three breathtaking locations, showcasing handmade elements from handpicked suppliers. A timeless celebration of the season and landscape, styled to enhance and work seamlessly with the surroundings.
